This Free Crochet Star Pattern would be the perfect tinsel or garland for the holiday season. I can see making some of these in different colors and stringing them all together, what do you think? :) I used this star pattern I made for my 4th of July Crochet Cozie and totally forgot to post the star on it’s own! Size: 2 x 2 inches
Abbreviation Guide: Materials:
St = Stitch Sport Weight Yarn
Sl st = Slip Stitch F Crochet Hook
DC = Double Crochet Tapestry Needle
SC = Single Crochet
Ch = Chain
Note: Increase or decrease hook size & yarn weight to make the star bigger or smaller.
Ch 4, sl st in 1st ch to make a ring
RD 1: Ch 1, 15 sc into ring
RD 2: *Ch 1, sc into the same st, dc in next st, ch 2, dc in same st, sc in next st, sl st. in the next st* Repeat around – should have 5 points to the star when you finish the round. Leave a long tail to attach to your work.
Tie off, attach to item & weave in ends.
