Have you seen the dollar amounts on props these days, they are insane! Especially with pieces of furniture when you are paying for shipping! That’s why I decided painting photo props myself is a GREAT idea to save some money. These ideas and pieces could also be featured in children’s rooms, not strictly photo props! Take a look and see what you think :)
1. Crate – I got this adorable crate from Michael’s for about $14, added some paint, and it’s perfect for sitting on top of, sitting kids and newborns inside of, and using as a prop! Would also be perfect for toys if you just want some organization. Grab yours here
2. Stool – I got this stool from Michael’s for about $15, added some paint and I have the perfect stool for toddlers/kiddos. Get your own here
3. Baseboard to Frame – I got some basic baseboard from Ace ($5 per 10 feet) and had them cut at 45 degree angles so they fit perfectly for the corners. Once that was done, use a little wood glue, let it dry, then paint away! After I painted, I added some ribbons using a hot glue gun and TADA – It’s a hair clip holder frame. Super cheap and adorable. I still need to get something to put on the back so I can hang on the walls of my photography prop room! This is perfect for mothers and photographers! :)Make sure to follow Katie's Crochet Goodies on Facebook, Pinterest, and Instagram, or subscribe to our Weekly Newsletter! :)
