Today I am going to share with you my Photography Prop Organization & Yarn Room Reveal. Goodbye Office! For all of you photographers or crocheters, I hope you gain some inspiration from this post. Let me know what you think in the comments. Here are some before pictures, we had a bookshelf full of books never being read, and a desk that was mainly just a clutter area that I threw everything onto. First I emptied out the desk and sold it (it was in the corner-you can't really see it in this picture), next emptied out the bookshelf and move everything out of that room, then we moved the file cabinet. Then it was just a matter of getting everything into the right spots. I have been wanting a better way to organize my back drops so I found this handy rolling shoe rack in the room with the back drops. Click on the photos below to get your own! Next I filled up the bookshelf with blankets and random props to be used. I placed the crates buckets stools on top and on the side of the bookshelf. Next I got the newborn posing bean bag set up in the corner with VP VC pipe drop stand (tutorial on making that coming soon!) I put up a couple prints of the same image for clients to compare our prints and local prints. My yarn shelf stayed in the same place, along with the futon for clients to take a seat and relax. I placed all my hats into a wicker basket placed in the bookshelf, and I finally thought of a good organization idea for headbands. I took a very large skien of yarn and the newborn headbands fit perfectly around. Now clients can easily see the whole selection without digging in a basket.
