Today I am going to share a tip for teachers, parents, daycare providers, or anyone really! If you have a Tri-Fold Poster Board lying around you can have an easy DIY Puppet Show. A couple friends and I did this for our Art class as part of our Elementary Education Program.
First, I decided what scene I wanted to make (School Room) then I got to work. Another group member made the dining room scene and we all made ourselves a puppet out of a brown paper sac. I started with a white board so I could draw and attach things to it.
What you’ll need:
Step 1: Cut a hole out of the middle in the area you wish to have your puppets come through.
Step 2: Attach fabric to the back side of the board to cover the hole you just cut. Note: After attaching I cut the fabric into 4 equal flaps so that puppets could go through. The pictures of the dining room one had cut lots of strips after attaching the fabric and that seemed to work even better.
Step 3: Decorate!
Step 4: Make a puppet – You could make one out of a sock or brown paper bag and decorate with yarn, stickers, and markers.Make sure to follow Katie's Crochet Goodies on Facebook, Pinterest, and Instagram, or subscribe to our Weekly Newsletter! :)
